Michael Thomas Mohen serves as Vice President of Engineering, bringing more than 25 years of federal technology and engineering experience to the role. A U.S. Navy veteran, technology executive, and accomplished innovator with 22 patents, he has built his career leading engineering organizations and delivering complex, mission-critical technology solutions across the federal government. Prior to serving as Vice President of Engineering, Michael Thomas Mohen held senior technical and executive positions including Chief Technology Officer, Chief Architect, and Distinguished Engineer, giving him a unique perspective that combines executive leadership, enterprise architecture, and hands-on engineering. His technical expertise spans artificial intelligence and machine learning, generative AI, cloud computing, enterprise architecture, software engineering, data and analytics, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and digital transformation. A hands-on technologist, he has extensive experience with AWS, Python, Java, JavaScript, cloud-native architectures, modern AI/ML platforms, and large-scale distributed systems, and holds multiple AWS certifications. Throughout his career, Michael Thomas Mohen has supported major technology and modernization initiatives for organizations including NASA, the FBI, Department of Defense, National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Department of Energy, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As Vice President of Engineering, Michael Thomas Mohen is focused on building and advancing high-performing engineering organizations, modern engineering practices, technical standards, enterprise architecture, cloud and AI adoption, DevSecOps, and secure software delivery. He works across executive leadership, program teams, architects, and engineers to ensure technology strategy translates into solutions that can be successfully delivered and operated in demanding federal environments. His leadership philosophy centers on combining engineering excellence with practical innovation—giving teams the standards, platforms, mentorship, and technical direction they need while creating an environment where emerging technologies can move rapidly from concept to mission impact.
